System requirements
What requirements your devices and software should have to get the most out of 3spin Learning
3spin Learning can be used in different ways depending on your use case:
- In a web browser to create, manage, and deliver training.
- With the 3spin Learning App for Virtual, Augmented, and Mixed Reality applications, as well as additional features provided by the Windows Desktop App.
Below you will find an overview of the supported devices. Detailed technical requirements for IT departments and administrators are provided further down.
Web Browser
Computer and Laptops (recommended)
Computers and laptops provide the full functionality of 3spin Learning. You can create, manage, and deliver training directly in your web browser.
We recommend using a current Windows PC, laptop, or Mac with one of the following browsers:
- Google Chrome (recommended)
- Microsoft Edge
- Mozilla Firefox
- Safari
Tablets
Many 3spin Learning features are also available on tablets. For example, you can open and complete training directly in your web browser, including Soft Skill training.
Authoring (creating and editing training) is only partially supported on tablets. Some features are only available on computers and laptops.
Tablet performance varies depending on the manufacturer, model, and hardware configuration. Therefore, we cannot guarantee compatibility with all devices, and performance may vary. For immersive training, we recommend using high-performance devices.
| Plattform | Recommendation |
| Android | Octa-core processor (minimum 2 GHz), at least 4 GB RAM (8 GB recommended), for example current Samsung Galaxy Tab A or Galaxy Tab S models |
| Apple | iPad Pro (2021 or later) or iPad Air (5th generation, 2022 or later) with an Apple M-series processor (M1 or newer) |
Smartphones
3spin Learning is currently not supported on smartphones.
For the best user experience, we recommend using a computer, laptop, or a supported tablet.
3spin Learning App
For a more immersive learning experience, training can also be delivered using the 3spin Learning App on supported Virtual, Augmented, and Mixed Reality devices.
The following devices are supported:
- Meta Quest
- Pico
- HTC VIVE
- Microsoft HoloLens 2
Desktop App (Windows)
A Windows Desktop App is also available. It is primarily intended for trainers and training administrators. The Desktop App enables you to facilitate training sessions, coordinate participant groups, and access additional features for training and learning scenarios.
- Observer-Mode - Accompany participants during a training session and monitor their progress in real time. The training progress can be displayed on an external monitor or projector.
- Network-Mode - Conduct collaborative training sessions with multiple participants. Participants can join the same training session remotely using Mixed Reality headsets or the Desktop App and train together. Joining via a web browser is currently not supported.
General Requirements
Internet Connection
We recommend using a stable internet connection when working with 3spin Learning. Depending on the training content, higher bandwidth may be required.
Audio
Many training sessions include spoken content or other audio.
We therefore recommend using headphones or speakers. A microphone is also required for training sessions that include voice interaction, such as Soft Skill training.
